Dear Experts,

We have created a Factory Calendar as only First Saturday as Working Days.

We have created a Contract for 1 Year with Cycle/Unit as 1 DAY

Scheduling Indicator - Time - Factory Calendar.

When we schedule the Plan, it shows only 11 calls instead of 12 calls.

Can any one help me why the First Call is missing.

Regards,

Shareeq

Hi Ahamed,

Check the entry given in last maintenance completion date while carrying out Scheduling.

If you give today's date there, then only 11 calls will be there. If you give a date which is one month ago, then you will get 12 calls starting from today's date.

wht is your plan scheduling date and wht date are you giving in cycle start date.

if today you are scheduling and your cycle start date is today and your call horizon is 100% then you will get 12 calls.

Contract Start Date : 10.03.2010 , Contract End Date : 09.03.2011.

Scheduling Day is Today and Cycle start date is also today but it is creating only 11 Calls. Calendar - Only First Saturday Working Day.

The Dates are 01.05.2010

05.06.2010

03.07.2010

07.08.2010

04.09.2010

02.10.2010

06.11.2010

04.12.2010

01.01.2011

05.02.2011

05.03.2011

It has to create for 03.04.2010 but it is not creating. Please post your thoughts

Dear Amit,

Even if I make the scheduling Period as 999, we get only 11 calls.

But when I set the start date as 10.02.2010 we get 12 calls, is it a standard behaviour.

Shareeq

Hi,

Would request you to check whether an Off-set of 30days is not maintained in Maintenance Plan.Else whn you schedule on 10.03.10 with start date 10.03.10 you should get 12 calls and not if your start date is 10.02.10 and schedule on 10.03.10

Hi Shareeq,

Your problem is in Maintenance Plan >>> Scheduling parameter >>> Scheduling indicator >>> Field >>> " Factory calender"

This Field "Factory Calender" implies = Next Working day + Cycle/Unit as 1 DAY

You are scheduling on 10.03.2010 so due to this your fist call will be = 03.04.2010(which your next working day) + 1day i.e . 01.05.2010.

When you select date 10.02.2010 your first call will be will be = 06.03.10(which your next working day) + 1day i.e 03.04.2010.

Good one Tejas.

This Field "Factory Calender" implies = Next Working day + Cycle/Unit as 1 DAY

The above calculation you gave is referred in Std SAP Document?? Can you give reference.

Thanks

Hi Shareeq,

Just to clarify regarding scheduling by Factory calendar.

System Schedules the plan (strategy:Factory calendar) from working day of factory calendar. (this conclusion I am making after simulating number of scenarios. Pls correct if it is wrong)

In the case mentioned by you since the scheduling is done on 10.03.2010, next working day as per calendar is 03.04.2010, scheduling is done from 03.04.2010 even though you have entered 10.03.2010 and first call is generated on 01.05.2010.

If you schedule from say 03.04.2010 , which is a working day as per your calendar, scheduling is done from 03.04.2010 and first call gets generated on 01.05.2010.

Hope this clarifies std SAP behaviour.

Thanks
