Hi Steve - I searched and found this blog https://blogs.sap.com/2010/01/11/hidden-tool-analyzing-workload-caused-by-background-jobs/ and so far I like the results a lot

Hi Tammy,

thanks, I could find the tool BACKGROUND_JOB_ANALYSIS via transaction ST13.

But the tool does not have text as seach criteria 😞

Best regards, Steve

Hi Steve - you can use SE16N against table TBTCO - found this in this thread: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3421380

What do you call 'text' of a job, are you asking for log of the jobs?

Are you working in a very recent version of SAP (752 or 751 with kernel at least 749) in this case the log is no longuer written to some file on AS in DIR_GLOBAL (hard if even possible to search data in those) but in some database tables TBTCJOBLOG[0-9] you should first read the attachments provided in OSS 2360818 - Job log in the database

Hi Raymond,

yes, text = job log

my SAP_BASIS 75202, I will have a look in TBTCJOBLOG table.

Thanks, Steve.
