change in posting periods/Fiscal year variant

Dear gurus,

Please advise..

The issueu2026my company wants to change the periods and the datesu2026meaning the fiscal year variant is now u2018Calendar yearu2019

And now they want the same 12 periods with 4 special periods but for period 5, they want to end it by May 20th,( Meaning period 5 is only from May1st to 20th only)

So that dates from May 21st to June 30th falls under period 6.

Please advise the steps to be followed.

Hello:

step 1: OB29 set new fiscal year variant, mark Year - dependent , number of periods = 12 and special period =4

step 2. highlight the new fiscal year variant you created , double click left hand "periods" and set your period ending day and month for example, month = 3 , day = 31 is period = 1

step 3. tie with your company OB37

step 4. check posting period variant with company OBBP

step 5.open and close period with OB52

Hello MSJ,

You should be able to define your own posting period in Year dependent Fiscal year variant (T code OB29) by deviding each month and from and to dates in posting period variant and which you can attach to company code.
