Hello All,

We have installed Virtulisation 2.0 SP2 into the Nakisa application following " SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa 2.0 Service Pack 2.0 Installation Guide"

The end of the installation guide states:

Run the Nakisa Series Encryptor Tool

The XML configuration files for all Nakisa applications are encrypted. Use the Nakisa Series Encryptor tool to decrypt the required files.

To run the tool:

Run the SeriesEncryptor.exe file. The Nakisa Series Encryptor tool opens on the Manual tab.

Click the Automate tab.

Click [+], then browse for the required XML configuration file.

Select Replace in the Options section, then click Decrypt. The file is decrypted and can be modified.

Make the necessary modifications to the file, then save it.

The XML files should be encrypted at all times to prevent configuration changes by unauthorized users.

Run SeriesEncryptor.exe again, then browse for the modified files once all updates are complete.

Select Replace in the Options section, then click Encrypt. The files are encrypted.

However the SeriesEncryptor.exe is not found anywhere.

Do the files require decryption and if so how is the tool obtained?

No customisation has been carried out at this point. Nakisa is a fresh install.

Hi Reg,

Usually this is only customised files so if no customisation has taken place then you just need to install the XML files from the relevant folder in the Service Pack ZIP once you have run the main installation.

The encryptor is only available to Nakisa partners as any amending of the XML files requires experience of application configuration and maintenance.
