Service Material in SO asking for Gross/Net Weight to be entered!

Hello,

I have created a Service Material via MMS1. I have defined the GenItemCatGroup as 'LEIS' as well during creation.

But, when I try to create a Sales Order for this Service Material, it is telling me that the fields "Gross Weight" & "Net Weight" are mandatory to be filled and they are showing in the "Incomplete Log" report via the Edit menu.

Can somebody help me as to why it is asking for weight, in spite of the fact that the material has been created as a Service Material.

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Check in VOV7 for your Item Category, and untick the check box "weight/volume Relevant" if it is selected.

Hello Mahesh

The problem your getting is related to MM, you request any MM consultant he will supress those fields in MM settings , it is not there in incompletion log.

Note1.- it is MM related setting

Note 2. Incompletion log IN SAP-SD is at sales order level , Delivery level , PGI level not at the material master level

Hi Mahesh,

Have you checked your incompletion procedure, I think there the Gross weight and net weight are mandatory feild.
