Unable to do Physical Inventory of Split Valuated materials

Dear All,

We have the split Valuated materials (without batch management),for which no Transaction has happened till now.

and we are in the process of Physical Inventory, So while the creation of the physical Inventory document in transaction MI01,system throws an error message - "No batches that can be included in phys. inv. exist.(Message no. M7701)"

And when we try to create the batches as equavalent to valuation type in MSC1N , then system does't allow us to do.

So how to carry out the physical inventory of Split valuated (Wihout Batch management) materials.

Please treat this issue on priority, as the physical inventory process got held up in 10 plants, because of this issue.

unfortunatly my answer in that link was not fully correct.

It is not possible to create a batch record for split valuated material where the batch number is the valuation type thru MSC1N

MSC1N can only be used if the material is batch managed.

Please follow instruction of OSS note 30254

Your explanation of the issue is conflicting, one one side, you confirm that Batch management is not active for those split valuated materials, but again you say you did tried to create batches. Were you activating batch management and deactivating as part of analysis this issue?
