External PR not generated < PI04 control key>

Folks,

We are using PI04 control key for external processed materials. In config we have set "Immediatley release PR" and system generates PR for that operation but

1. For a case, no PR was generated and in process order reservation/PR was set as "NEVER". In my understanding/testing this setting is flown from config and cannot be changed in transaction level.

Config is never changed and is set to immediately since implementation. Then how it changed to "Never" and PR was not generated.

2. In cases like these, do we have an option of generating PR from inside order or in reference to order?

Hi Prasath,

I am completely sure that control key and order type related configs are fine. I pulled out a report where in last year for all orders external PR was generated except for 3 material codes on a PARTICULAR date and after that date system started behaving normally and PRs are generated.

orders on that day has config "NEVER" in operation with control key PI04 in external processing tab.

Hello Akash,

In SAP standard itself you can have purchase requisition in production order.While creation production order itself in back round purchase req will get generated automatically. If you use Control key PP02 as externally processing Operation.Please check your control key customization and revert back.

We are using this functionality, control key PI04, stnd for process industry.

In config (COR4, order type parameters), we have mantained value as 3, immediately create PR.

For a single case, PR was not generated and in order this setting was changed as "Never". I tested and found there is no way this can be manually changed and will flow from config which is never changed.

2. In case like this, is there any way to generate PR now? like control recipe can be generated by clicking a button within order.
