SAP HANA COCKPIT issue after registering i can't see resources after regeistring


hi All,

please help on the below issue on SAP HANA cockpit MANGER

As per the Above Blog i have created a group and registered the reosurce when i again check in SAP HANA cockpit.

i am unable to see the resource. please help on the same.

Tech details

S/4 HANA is running on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12.2


SAP HANA Cockpit 2.0.6 (2016-11-23 13:33:41) SAP HANA Database Explorer 2.0.7 (2016-11-19 04:26:36)

note : Statisitic server is not running

host agent is running.

i have attached the screen shot of the Resource status as well.

    Hi Wajid,

    It usually happens when the user you are using for COCKPIT login is not added to the resource group of the required HANA system.
    So I would suggest to double-check if it is properly added to the resource group.
    It is easy to be confused in the user management part, but basically we need 3 different users for this activity.
    So the procedure briefly is:

    1. CREATE HANA DB user within the remote HANA you would like to add. (in the blog it is COCKPIT_MONITORING) and assign the necessary privileges.
    2. Login to COCKPIT MANAGER as COCKPIT_ADMIN and register your HANA DB as a new resource providing the created HANA user - COCKPIT_MONITORING
    3. IN COCKPIT MANAGER: Create resource group and assign the previously added resource
    4. IN COCKPIT MANAGER: Create a cockpit user. For example: COCKPIT_USER (from CM home screen, choose Cockpit Users - Create User) - You can assign the resource group here, during user creation, too.
    5. Optional: if you did not relate the Cockpit user during creation - Go to resource groups and assign the user there.
    6. Log in to COCKPIT using its own different URL. You should be able to see the resource.

    1. Use different browsers or incognito window in case you need to open both Cockpit and Cockpit Manager applications
    2. If you are not sure about the URLs, you can check them using OS level xs apps.

    • log on to HANA os as <sid>adm
    • Change to the directory that contains the XSA installation: cd <sapmnt>/<SID>/xs/bin
    • Log on to the SAP HANA XS advanced runtime: ./xs-admin-login
    • Enter the XS organization manager user password.
    • Display a list of the applications running in the current space: xs apps

    The SAP HANA cockpit is listed as cockpit-web-app. The cockpit manager is listed as cockpit-admin-web-app.

    Thanks Jozsef for pitching in and helping.

    The issue is fixed old HANA COCKIT i have un installed and i have installed the Latest version HANA COCKPIT SAPHANACOCKPIT08_8-70002299 and updated the HANA DATABASE 2.0 sp3 to to the updated version.
