Marketing Areas in 1709

Hello Experts,

I want to understand what is the difference between 1709 and 1709 SP1 with respect to Marketing areas configuration?

Can anyone confirm that in 1709 do we have any functionality to Activate Marketing Area for Campaign Execution.? if not then i dont think we have to assign permission based on marketing areas at contact level?

kindly provide this information. Also how marketing areas can be used with 1709. I am fully aware on marketing areas for cloud solution but it seems that 1709 doesn't have all the functionalities related to Marketing areas in comparison to cloud?

Hi Keshav,

I am looking specifically with 1709 and 1709 SP01 differences for Marketing Areas. What are the changes made wrt marketing areas in these two On Prem versions.

With my understanding the permissions still doesn't require marketing areas in 1709 version if we use marketing area for authorization purpose. I couldn't see the functionality to Activate Marketing Area for Campaign Execution. This means that when we are executing the campaign, marketing permissions at marketing area is not checked?
