BW Request remains in yellow when 0 records found in the source

Hi,

I'm having an issue with DataServices when loading data from a table (or file) and 0 records are found in the source.

The InfoPackage never gets notified about this and remains in yellow until it fails because of timeout.

Same thing happens when the job in dataservices fails.

Has anyone had the same issue?

I've managed to manually fix this by calling BAPI_ISOURCE_TD_T_SEND and set the load to error / finish, but i would expect DataServices to handle this.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Cheers,

Diego

Hello Diego,

There must be a note for this because if my job returns zero records my job completes successfully. I'm at BI 7.01 sp5 and don't experience this behaviour.

Cheers,

Kevin.

Thanks Kevin,

I've tried with a server in that version and got the same problem (stays in yellow). couldn't find any notes.

Which DS version are you using?

Thanks,

Cheers,

Diego

I've just found out an SP3 was recently released for DS 3.2.. I'm downloading now.. Trying to check the release notes, but there are no release notes.

Will install and test.

Cheers.

Hi Joao,

Yes, that was fixed in one of the patches (i think it was 12.2.1.3). What version are you running?

Diego

Hi,

This is fixed in version 12.2.2.2.

See note 1477474 (ignore the title, which says 12.2.2.1 - must be a copy and paste error from SAP).

It is ADAPT01387844.

Hello Diego,

This issue is with respect to settings in the process monitor setting.

Go to process monitor and click on setting from the menu list.

Then select "Evaluation of requests" and select "status: successful" under "If no data is available in the system, the request ".

By doing this setting data load will be successful even if there are 0 from 0 records.

Diego,

I have faced the same issue in my environment ( SAP BW 7.01 SP5 , DS 3.2 ). Issue is with locale settings of SAP BW in designer. Go to designer and select your target BW data store in edit mode. Click on Advanced tab, you see Code Page under locale is default and change to us-ascii.

Please let me know the results.

Thanks,

Barani

Hi Barani,

Thanks for your reply. I tried that setting and still doesn't work. Did you had exactly the same issue? I don't see a relation between the code page and the missing message confirming there are no records.

Thanks

Cheers,

Diego
