Error when resetting DataSource

Hi All,

I have tried to transport the active datasources from development client to production. When I try loading via infopackage, it throws an error and asks to replicate the datasource. Upon activation and while running the program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL it throws an error with error message as '&' and Error when resetting DataSource Message no. RSO410 and the datasource goes inactive.

After Retransporting the datasource with overwrite and running the program same thing happens.

We are on BI 7.0, and on APO BW system. We are on BW SP 16 on SCM 5.0

I have seen someone post exaclty the same message a while back but there was no final solution.

Cheers

Anand

Hi Anannd, Actually have you Replicated your DS after you transported?

    This is standard procedure:

    1. transport ECC/R3 part of DS

    2. transport BW part of DS + other BW objects needed for your data flow

    4. Replicate DS in BW

Usually you do not need to run report you mentioned.

    Hi Anand,

Please use the ID with authorization S_ICF_ADM .

    This should work then.

In the source system, delete the related datasource in the ROOSGENSEG and ROOSGEN tables and re-active it in the BW system.
