Creating a Maintenance Order does not block capacity for the Work Center

Step 1: I have created a Work center and assigned and selected Capacity Category as '001' (Machine). I have defined the usage of Work Center as '009'.

Step 2: Now I have created an equipment in IE01 and assigned the Work Center to the equipment in the Locations Tab.

Step 3: I create a Maintenance Order (Type PM02) for the equipment and have maintained couple of months range and have set the System condition to '0' (not in operation).

Step 4: Have checked all necessary settings in OIOI for the Plant/ORder Type PP01

Now when I go to CM01 / CM25 I cannot see that the capacity is blocked now. Also I can create a Production Order and release it and it shows capacity is available during the capacity check in CO01.

Please let me know what I am missing.

Thank,

Ramesh

Hello

Make sure you set the System Condition to 0 at operation level in the maintenance order and that a duration was calculated for your operation.

I wrote the blog below explaining this scenario. Unfortunately it is in Portuguese, but I hope it helps you:

Ramesh, please check setting in production order dependent parameters, production order capacity availability settings and the work center data maintained. It should work, at least you should get a warning or information message during creating or releasing a production order.

Hi Ramesh,

Did you try to create a Production order during your maintenance order time frame? Is your system displaying any message during saving and/ or releasing Production order?

User exit; PPCO0007 Exit when saving production order, you can use to build check during save/ release of maintenance orders.

Yes, the start and finish date of the PRoduction Order is within the time frame of the maintenance order. I do not want to implement user exit (might be a last resot 😉 ) as ideally standard should have this feature. Also, I need this functionality in CM01, CO01, CM25, etc. So standard way is recommended.

Thanks,

Ramesh
