Dear Forum,
May I know what are the sequence to create cost center group and hierarchy?
Kindly need your advice as I need to know the sequence to create cost center related object like group or hierarchy. I mean which needs to do first then followed by which until the final part.
Thanks
Hi,
Here is different steps to finalise master data processes related to cost center.
1.Finalise name of cost center hierarchy exampe: INDIA
2.Finalise list of cost center groups which needs to defined as high level nodes.Example : North,South,East,West and list out any further nodes required any.
3. Call OKEON to define this hierarchial structure and define above nodes in structural manner.
This steps does not expect any cost center name.
4.Call KS01 to define cost center master and define above in group/node in cost center master data.
Hope this answers your question.

When you set up a controlling area you have to assign a Standard Hierarchy. From the highest level you can create sub levels (cost center groups ) When you create a cost center you have to assign it to the Standard Hierarchy.
The cost center groups created in the Standard Hierarchy you can only change there
For reporting reason you can create other Hierarchy based on cost center groups.
For the selection in reports on cost center group /standard Hierarchy there are working on the same way.
Some times you create a cost center group only for reallocating costs
