Dynamic URL in SCP Portal for a standard SAP Fiori app on-premise

Hi,

in our project we need to expose in the SCP Portal the standard SAP Fiori app Customer - 360 View residing on the SAP FES server on-premise (hub deployment) integrated with S/4HANA on-premise 1709 FSP02.

I did the configuration as explained in the following post, but it's not working in our hybrid scenario (on cloud / on premise): Using Dynamic URL apps in Fiori Launchpad

Here is a recap of what I configured:

1. Destination to the on premise SAP FES system via SAP CC with Usage = Dynamic

WebIDEUsage = odata_abap,dev_abap,ui5_execute_abap

The destination is working correctly (Check Connection successful)

BUT: when using the property Usage = Dynamic, then the destination is not listed in the Backend Destinations in the SCP Portal service:

It gets listed only if the Usage = Backend.

2. Configuration of the app Customer - 360 View in the SCP Portal service

2.1. App properties:

Question 1:

is the Path right? or do we need to enter the Path to the SICF node /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/sd_cust360_ops1?

Anyways, I tried both options and both are not working.

2.2. App Parameters:

The Destination is added automatically as Parameter of the app:

3. Running the app on the SCP Portal

After publishing the app into the site, when I click on the app tile, I get the following errors:

DFES300 highlighted in the picture below is the destination configured in point 1 above.

I get the same errors with both Usage = Backend and Usage = Dynamic in the destination properties.

Note: the app is working correctly on premise.

Anyone already configured such a scenario? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for supporting.

Cristian

    Dear Cristian,

thank you for the detailed description. I still think that the approach that you try will not work without exposing the FES to the internet. My suggestion would be to either check if the app Customer - 360 View is available in SAP Fiori Cloud and if yes, get that into your account. That way you will get the UI5 frontend part via a subscription from SAP. The other alternative would be to use Web IDE and create an enhancement project for that app and tick the checkbox to import also the original app from the backend. Then deploy the original app to SAP CP as a HTML5 app. You have of course to maintain the destination to the backend in neo-appl.json.
