CUA Configuration

Hi ,

Iu2019m configuring the CUA for one of your systems. Your central system is RP1 u2013 client is 400.

Logical system name is RP1CLNT400.

My client system is u2013CP1-500 logical system name is CP1CLNT500.

Do I need to use the same logical system name for CUA configuration or can I use with this naming convention?

Ex CUACP1500 this logical system name I have added in to master system

I have created RFC connection between from child to master

Same way in child system I have added master system logical name like this CUARP1500

I have created RFC connection from master to child

For this we have created the 2 users in master ,1 user in child with sap provided roles.

RFC connections are working fine. I have created the CUA mode using SCUA.

When I try to test the connection Iu2019m getting error. Child system CUACP1500 not recognize

Please help me can I use naming convention u2013like this CUACP1500 ,CUARP1400

Hi,

I would suggest to stick with naming convention proposed by SAP which is <SID>CLNT<CLIENT>. This naming convention guarantees that each system and client will have unique name in your landscape.

BTW there is a really nice document about CUA called Cookbook for CUA. JIt contains step by step process of configuring CUA. Just search here on SDN.

thank you very much for your replay. i have followed SAP COOKBOOK only for CUA Configuration.if i use the default logical system names ,i am able to sync the user in master systems.

but if i use different naming convention.that time only I'm getting problem because already that logical system names they are used for different per-pus.that's why I'm using with this naming convention --ex CUARP1500.

we have only SAP HCM ,trex,E-recruiting do we need to keep separate system for CUA?.

Hi Srinivas,

I dont think so you will have any issues if you use your own naming convention e.g: CUACP1500. However did you define the logical system name CUACP1500, CUARP1400 in BD64??

I agree with Martin, you should follow the SAP provided naming convention for Logical system in BD54
