SCM 7.0 SNC 7.0 Installation

I am trying to get some clarification. I am planning for an upgrrade of SCM?APO to be followed by an installation of SNC onto the SCM system. The SNC master Guide shows it is possible but the Installatin note 1173389 says you cannot instal SNC 7.0 on SAP SCM. Has anyone done this or can you provide clarification of the process?

It is pretty much possible to have SAP SNC on SAP SCM server.

The SNC Master Guide explains on page 21 as follows:"...you can also install and run SAP SNC as part of SAP SCM Server. Note that you need to install SAP SCM Server if you want to use some functions in SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization in combination with SAP SNC. This is especially relevant for the Responsive Demand Planning and Responsive Replenishment Planning processes..." The corresponding System landscape for SAP SNC as part of SAP SCM Server is shown in figure4 on side 21 too.

You refer to SAP note 1173389. There you find below point 2. Prerequisites for the SCMSNC 700 installation: "...the installation of SCMSNC has only been released for SAP Netweaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1. SCMSNC is not released for installation on: SAP ERP, SAP SCM, SAP CRM, SAP SRM...".

As I understood SAP note 1173389 SCMSNC 700 is an add-on installation only for SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP 1. That means in my opinion, that this refers to the System Landscape for SAP SNC on page 19 of the SNC Master Guide which is shown in figure1.

Nevertheless I have to ommit, that I don't know the material numbers and installation prerequisites for the SAP SNC as part of SAP SCM Server. Perhaps there is someone, who can exactly give us the required material numbers.
