SAP Mail, SMTP plugin, system storage

Dear experts,

we have intentions to use SAP's internal SMTP plug-in for our email functions.

In doing so, we are interested to know the followings.

1. where will the mail related objects be stored ? database or OS file system ?

2. quota management, how will it be done ?

I have done quite a bit of search, but all I can find are installation and related advice.

Appreciate if anyone can offer advice.

They will be stored in the database as binary objects in various tables (SOC*)

Can you point me to those documents ?

I believe there must be some sort of storage space management.

I am trying to find that info.
