Multiple Userbase with Enterprise Portal

Hello Xperts,

We have a requirement where we need different users to be stored at 2 different location (LDAP and Portal database)

I am not sure if this is possible or not.

If anyone has any idea, please share it with me.

Appreciate your response.

    Yes it's possible, The UME can have LDAP, Portal, and ABAP Datasource at the same time....

    Check this [link to how configure the UME Datasource|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e5/618a3eacd49076e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]

    If you need multiple LDAP there is also an option.... [Check the link|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/5714] [original link is broken];

    Hi Ashutosh,

    You can configure the UME to use a read-only LDAP. Then any new users you add from the user admin UI will be added to the database of the AS Java. You then have to manage your LDAP users with the LDAP tools. If you have the LDAP as read-write, you are going to have to add any users you need in the database before you configure the LDAP as data source.
