Formatting errors Report Viewer 2008

Hi,

I'm using VB.NET 2008 Prof. with CR 2008 SP2 to develop a form which prints labels with barcode.

I use a font called "code 128" which is a barcode font. The reportviewer though does not use this font and he - however - resizes the printout to about 40% in scale though display in reportviewer is ok.

When I open the original .rdp file in CR 2008 editor both the font and the printsize is fine.

How can this be, how can I solve this problem?

Regards,

Stefan

Hi, Stefan;

We have seen some improvements with label printing with our latest fix pack. Please install Fix Pack 2.4 and see if you get better results:

Well I did so before contacting you. In the CR 2008 designer I have no problem. But is there a newer Redistributable for 64-bit Windows 2008 than the version for CR 2012/SP2, I think this is the problem.

Or do you think its a problem on the compiler which I use (VB.NET 2008) and the used component?

Stefan

Hi, Stefan;

The redistributable for the 2.4 version is: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100001024142010E/cr2008_fp24_redist.zip

Also, try opening the report in the CR Designer. Go to the File menu, Page Setup, and Uncheck (or check if it is already checked) the option Dissociate Formating Page Size and Printer Paper Size. Resave the report and see if that helps at all.

Jonathan
