Auto batch determination switch on packing in outbound delivery.

Dear expert,

My company is currently working with ECC6 EHP7.

I am currently facing a issue I switch off packing in Define item category for category(0VLP) by choosing B for field packing control.
Due to material is batch management based on buz. requirement so when batch is automatically determined thru batch search strategy (VCH1) then delivery requires packing step.

While if I mark deletion for batch search strategy which batch No. needs to enter manually but packing is not required any more.

So in one word, my question is how to determine batch No. automatically meanwhile switch off packing step?

If you don't want packing functionality, you can very well deactivate for that delivery document type.

The weird thing is I have already deactivate packing for Delivery Item Category by choosing B for field Packing Control which I thought is where I can do to deactivate instead of for delivery type, am I correct?

And the result is if I use auto batch determination thru batch search strategy then packing is mandatory again while if I mark the search strategy record with deletion indicator then packing is not required any more that aligns with customizing.

In one word, activate batch strategy or not will affect delivery packing requirement even under the circumstance Packing control field marked as B!
