How to remove wrong material from the pop-up list?

Hello to everyone,

I would like to ask, is there any solution to remove wrong material for the pop-up list?

Please let me explain what I mean.

MM03:

I have accidentally created a wrong material code (CUSTOMER_SIDEPLATE). Then I marked this material with "Deletion Flag" (MM06), but users still can see it in the pop-up list.

Archiving functionality is not activated in our SAP, so MM71 is not available.

Is there any other solution how to remove it from the pop-up list? Of course I can change the Material Description to "DO NOT USE", but it will still appear in the list and will be visible...

Archiving is only the option. This search result is coming from combination of MARA and MAKT table without checking any deletion flag.

Hi Kim,

There is only one way you should clear the caches from Local Data to remove this entry from Pop-up list!

Just goto option select Local Data & clear the cache!

I have cleared my cache files and restarted SAP but it didn't help. Seems that archiving is only option.
