Two Accounting Entries for single Material Document

Dear Experts

While posting some material through MB1C transaction, there are two accounting documents generated (one in the year 2009 and the other one in 2010) against single material document.

Please tell me the reason why it is posting two accounting document? It is happened for one material one time only.

Is there any configuration settings to avoid this double entries?

I am having the same issue of one matl document to 2 accounting documents. Please let me know if you were able to find a fix for this.

Thanks for your reply.

But it is not generated for any other material document.... particulary one specific material document only having like this double entry.

Please guide me how to avoid these kind of problem.

Due to period-end closing

system generating two accounting entries for the previous posting period and current posting period
