Client copy using sapcust profile

Hi

There is requirement to copy the customization settings of our production to our new sandbox client. How much size it would take approximately in the disk. Whether we could do this client copy activity from our live production server in our case the source system is live production server using remote client copy ?our target client is a new client so does it require RFC comparison before doing client copy? approximate time it would take to complete the task?

Regards

run a test copy.

To keep the target consistent no activity should run on the source system.

again: run a test copy.

This all depends on

- the size of the client to-be-deleted in the target system

- the speed of your disks

- the amount of parallel processes

Customizing is only a very small fraction concerning data, so you probably won't notice any increased space usage at all.

Remember if you copy with SAP_CUST, you will loose ALL application data in the target client!
