About SAP Internal user SAPSYS

Hi,

i want to know about the internal user SAPSYS . i am aware that when we try to login to a sap system , the SAPSYS is already connected in the background, and also when running some ABAP reports. so i want to know how this actually works.

From SM20--Audit screen i found various sessions of User SAPSYS running the program SAPMSSY1, however the program failed to run with the reason RFC CPIC/logon failed , reason=100 in client 000.Could not find the relevant RFC connection in SM59. Searched the sap portal and internet but could not find much info on this topic.

i would be thankfull if anyone can shed some light on this.....

thanks in advance...

Regards,

Dinakar.

Hi Dinakar,

Well SAPMSSY1 is the Communication and RFC control program, reason=100 means that whatever is the target client does not exist...

Now, that should get you going.... without more information I don't have a lot to add...

Regards, JP

Hi Juan,

Thank you for your reply. In the Audit messages the error was for User: SAPSYS ,Program:SAPSMSSY1 failed with reason=100 and client=000.

For the Error message with reason=100 you said it means that the client does not exist which is not true in this case,. Anything to do with User DDIC in this case?.

Also the job failed with reason RFC CPIC logon failed. How and where do i check the authentication?.

I want to know about the internal user SAPSYS and how this works in the background. If you can provide any link or share any document , i would really appreciate.

thanks.

Dinakar.
