Incorrect Quota generation

Hi gurus...

I have one absence type EL..with a base entiilemet as given:

Service years:

0-2 years:18 days

0-3 years:21 days

above 3 years:24 days.

In selection rules for generation I have used:

Calculation process: seni

Key date for determing seniority:

For exact date:

Employee joining date is:01.12.2008

I m running report RPTQTA00 for generating absences as of today for the year 2010:

But it is calculating to 16.5..But it should be 18 as it falls under 0-2 years

Pls help wat needs to be done

Hi,

Why don't you try to use Calculation process: 1SVY Seniority?

SENI is used for the length of service.

Hi

I have changed the calculation method..But still I m not getting exact alu..

Eg For EL its 18 per year..so 1.5 is credited each month..

when i am generating quota through RPTQTA00..for 1.1.2010-31.11.2010 its giving 16.5..dats correct

But when i m generating tilll 01.01.2010-31.12.2010..its still giving 16.5...not changing to 18

Please suggest

What happens when you generate quota from 01.01.2010 till 01.01.2011?

seniority is calculated on the earliest date in Infotype 0 for the employee. it may not be the best method to use especially if you have employees with differing service histories (eg transfers from other payroll areas). You may need to look at a specific annviersary date for calculation puposes for your quota type along with a user exit so that you don't need to put the anniversary date on every employee in the company (depending on what you are trying to achieve with this quota type).

I have checked all dates are correct..

I have one more issue..

I am generating quota on monthly basis..

So suppose I have Cl of 6 days per year...

so for each month 0.5 CL is added.

Validity period is set be calendar year

Valid from start of calendar year

valid to date: end of calendar year

And Deduction settings are:

Deduction from start of validity interval:

Deduction to:End of validity period

i m generating quota for month of jan and feb

But I m not able to use leave for month of jan in month of feb..

Its allowing only feb month quota

I want to use the jan month quota till year end

Please let me know wat configuration need to be done.

Hi,

Do the Following.

Select "Calendar year" radio button in table V_T559E (base entitlement)

Dont select any other values other than radio button "Start of validity interval" & "End of Validity interval" in table V_T559D (validity and deduciton)

In table V_T559L select accrual period "Monthly"

Are you generating Quota in Time Evaluation or Without Time evaluation?

Hope this will solve your problem.

I have checked all settings and its the same..

v_t559e:its calendar

v_t559d:start of validity period ,end of validity period

v_t559l:accural period month

I m generating through Report RPTQTA00; monthly

First i run the report for jan period:01.01.2010-31.01.2010

so 0.5 Cl is added with validity period 01.01.2010-31.01.2010 and deduction period :01.01.2010-31.01.2010

And then for month of feb

i run the report for jan period:01.02.2010-28.02.2010

so 0.5 Cl is added with validity period 01.02.2010-28.02.2010 and deduction period :01.02.2010-28.02.2010

But wen i m applying fulld ay leav ein month of feb..

its giving error insuffcient quota.

its not taking into account jan 0.5 leave quota

Please suggest wat needs to be done.

Hi,

there is no problem in your configuration. the process you are following for quota generation is wrong.

While generating the quota just select Calendar year and generate for the employee. While generating it will check the Hire date, Validity and Deduction period and create quota for the year properly in IT 2006

.but if i generate for the whole year..then like 6 CL will be credited to him...in the begginig of year..

It means he will be able to consume all 6 leaves in jan month only...but ideally he should be allowed for 0.5 leave

HI,

In that case everytime when you generate quota in RPTQTA00 give the start date as begining fo the year and end date to whichever month you want.

Anyhow while generating system will check the generated quota till date and generate additional required. For this to happen you should have selected check box 'Settlement of existing quota entitlement' in Selection rule table, Tab total entitlement

its very helpful...but still issue is going on..

as u said to select the settlement of existing quota entilement..and then generate..

so i first generate for jan month...so 0.5 quota is added..

then i do for feb moth..

then for jan to oct with check box settlement of existing quota entilement selected..

Result of RPTQTA00 is below..

Casual Leave 0.50000 Days 01.01.2010 31.01.2010 01.01.2010 31.01.2010

Casual Leave 0.50000 Days 01.02.2010 28.02.2010 01.02.2010 28.02.2010

Casual Leave 4.00000 Days 01.01.2010 31.10.2010 01.01.2010 31.10.2010

5.00000

But problem is quota generated for jan month has validity for jan only..and same as in case of feb...

but problem is i want quota of jan till year end...

Please suggest how to proceed

Check the validity of the Quota Deduction interval in V_T559D might be helpful

Hi Sikandar,

I have checked table v_t599D and deduction from is set to as:start of validity interval

and deduction to is set to as:End of validity interval

And validity is set to as

valid from date:

calendar year:start

valid to date:

calendar year :end

in set automatic accural using Report RPTQTA00

Set Validity Interval for Quota Accrual

so if i m generating quota for jan month..its had validity for only jan month

I want validity till year end in case of CL.

Please suggest

in the relative feild posting for End of the validity make it as 12 months and try

Hi sikandar..

If i give 12 mnths in relative period..then suppose i generate for nov the it will make it valid for dedcution tilll next year nov..and dats not the case..

so for each month it will have different dedcutions..
