revenue should still remain in the P&L of one company but to show in another company

Can you give us directions on the following? If we made a sale in company A (sales office A), and we want to transfer (part of) the revenue to another company B (sales office B), how would that work? We don’t want to send an intercompany invoice, but just want to show on management reporting where the revenue should be allocated.

The revenue should still remain in the P&L (and statutory books) of one company. We only want to show revenue in management reporting for the other company, indicating that they’ve done effort for the sale. What would we need to do for this?

@CAROLINE LOST...can you guide me on this

Hello Arjun,

you can try to post a portion of revenue to a dedicated profit center, or by using a dedicated G/L account or G/L account origin, a specific functional area or similar. If the portion to be shown separately can be attributed to a service, you can even get the postings by using account determination, if not, by creating manual postings.

Best regards,

Thomas
