Change of Fiscal Year Variant

Hi All,

We are having a challenging task of changing fiscal year variant of a single company code. We are using Classic General Ledger. Currently, our company code is set to Calendar Year (Jan-Dec), and now as per new policy, it needs to be changed to Fiscal Year (Jul-Jun).

I searched out various ways of converting it, found not a better option other than Creating a new company code and transfer ending balances of old company code to new, at some specific cut-off date.

The workaround would lead to delete history, that is, we won't be having dril down functionality. Isn't there any such option to change FY Variant of existing company code. I guess, the only difficult part is Data Conversion?

We recently had fiscal year change from other fiscal year to calendar year. Fiscal year change was done, We did a shorterned fiscal year and SAP helped us converting the year to Year-1. They did not touch any periods during the data conversion.

That means, data conversion is required? Did SAP charge? Expected amount? Can't we do data conversion In-House?
