Hi Experts,
When we display BW query in CRM Web UI it is directly taking us to Query result and it is not displaying the initial variable screen. It is taking default values of variable screen.
In general before executing the query it shoudl dispaly the variable screen in web analyzer.
If any one come across this kind of problem.we are using CRM 07 WEB Ui to dispaly BI7.0 Queries.
In Prodcution environmet itcan cause timeout errors becuase of high volume of data.
Do we need perform any sttings in BI for Java Web components of BI query.
.Regards
Venkatesh
Check if you are passing parameters and what is the Query String URL used in your iView?

PRASAD,
go to query designer and under the default values tab double click on the characteristics and define a variable there. save the query, and now create a new iview and you should see the selection screen. remember, when you define the variables in the query designer and save it gets saved in the BI database. now creating an iview out of this will call the query stored in the BI database and then present the BI report on the iview....hope that helps...

Hi Murthy,
Thank you for the quick response, The blog explains how to create an iView in portal to get.
But my issue is not to create, I have already created the iviews and displaying them.
When I execute the query in portal its taking me directly to result set with out variable selection screen.
The above symptom is not advisable when there is a variable manual selection required to execute the BI query.
Thanks & Regards,
Venkat.
