Prerequisite for enter CO11N

Hello All,

I have done some researched on both the internet and SDN but still don't have a clue regarding transaction CO11N (Enter time ticket for production order).

I have three questions:

1. What exactly is the functionality CO11N provides (what does this Transaction Code do)

2. How is this "Enter Time Ticket for Production Order" to fit into the production order CO01.

3. What prerequisite data do I need to have in order to enter this Time Ticket.

Hi,

"Enter Time Ticket for Production Order" is nothing but you will enter actual quantities and actual timings occurred for each operation planned in a production order.

In a actual scenario,

In CO01 you will create a production order in which you mention what material is going to be produced,when, what are all the components required to p[roduce this product and what is the procedure or process to produce this product.after this order will get released.

This details of the production order is taken in a print out and given to the operator who is doing the operation/assembly.The operator will enter the actual details like time ,quantity,scrap in the printout which is called time ticket later this will be enetr in the sap system thorugh CO11N transaction.

The pre requisite is production order and operation.

Thanks for the answers and points have been awarded. I have just one more question. I would like to ask do we perform the Goods Receipt using MIGO for the Production Order first or do we enter the confirmation for the Production Order first. Help is appreciated.

And after I created the confirmation using CO11N, do you know where I can see the confirmation number in the production order?

Hi,

do we perform the Goods Receipt using MIGO for the Production Order first or do we enter the confirmation for the Production Order first. 

The confirmation of the production (or operation) has to be done before you can receive the Goods. Once the goods are received, it will itself mean that the production has been completed. So confirmation is done before FG receipt.

And after I created the confirmation using CO11N, do you know where I can see the confirmation number in the production order?

To see the confirmation number, there are various ways:

Use the T Code CO14. Enter the production order number. You will get the details.

OR You can use COOIS, On the Top, select "Confirmation" from List option.

Or you can see it in the table AFRU

I will try to explain:

1. What exactly is the functionality CO11N provides (what does this Transaction Code do)

The Routing consists of the operations to be done to make an SFG or FG material along with the details like -

1. time to be taken (setup, Machine, tear-down etc),

2. On what work center, the componenets would be processed etc.

Now when we make the production order the routing gets copies to the production order (in the "Operation Overview"). The values coming to production order are planned values. In actual case, the time taken for the job could be different than the values in routing. There may be a slow operator working on job, or there may be a break-down or any other thing. Also the job could processed at different work center may be due to capacity constraint, maintenance issues etc.

So how to record the actual things. Also the actual figures are to be used for various analysis like performance etc.

So we do the CO11N - the time ticket entry, in other words it is the confirmation of the operation / activities done for an order. The actual data is entered here. How much time it took for setup, machine etc. which work center was used, who was the operator etc etc.

2. How is this "Enter Time Ticket for Production Order" to fit into the production order CO01.

There were some values and parameters planned while in the production order (note: routing figures get copied to the order), the CO11N enables you to enter the actual data. So for any production order, its operations would have planned figures and actual figures.

3. What prerequisite data do I need to have in order to enter this Time Ticket.

You need to configure the confirmation parameters in SPRO

The path is SPRO --> Production --> Shop Floor Control --> Operations --> Confirmation

Once the practical or business significance is understood, explore this node, that would make you more clear on the topic.

The functionality of CO11N is to confirm a production order which is created from CO01 or covered from planned order which need to be conformed up on completion
