STO - Issue Stock in transit Plant to plant

Hi Gurus,

I have one issue on STO plant to plant with delivery,

1) I have created STO with ME21n (From receiving plant)

2) Then done outbond delivery in supplying plant

3) Then done PGI w.r.t outbond delivery

4) Done inbond delivery in receiving plant wrt to outbond delivery

5) wrt Inbound delivery , I have done PGR

Up to now this is fine.

Due to some reason I have cancelled the PGR & deleted HU & Inbound delivery. Now the material is in transit.

Now I can't do inbound delivery wrt to outbound delivery, as it is giving message ""Handling unit XXX is already assigned to outbound delivery YYYY"

So can any body give some input how to take material from in transit to receiveing plant. I want all qty to be in receiving plant.

I am assuming by mentioning "Cancelled PGR", you have used transaction VL09 to reverse the GR for inbound delivery.

The next step is to reverse the GI for outbound delivery from the issuing Plant using VL09 again. This updates the HU status. Then use LT0G to putaway the stock back in warehouse (or delete the HU assignment in the outbound delivery and use LT10 to return the stock).

Hi Abdul,

Yes PGR was cancelled using VL09. But before the PGI can be reversed it is required that the INBD be first be deleted. And before deleting INBD it is required that the associated HU be deleted. So before you can reverse the PGI you need to delete the HU in the INBD and then delete the INBD itself. Can you please suggest given the situation.

Are you now saying that you are not able to delete the HU assignment in inbound delivery and further delete inbound delivery?

Hi Abdul,

Actually, SAP doesn't allow to cancel the outbound delivery, as it is giving the error message as "Handling unit xxxxxxxxxxxx was already cancelled - you cannot cancel it again"

So I put the situation before you as above. Please tell me how to get the stock intransit to receiving plant.

Hi Praveen ,

How you managed to create IBD with reference to Outbound delivery i mean with T-code or with refernce to IDOC.

If its refernce to IDOC can you reprocess IDOC again , if its with refernce to T - code kindly provide t code so that i can test it

Hi Praveen ,

You can do transfer posting from intransit to unrestricted in source plant .

Step1 : Execute MB1B movement type 351 to transfer from intransit to unrestricted of source plant .

Do transfer posting from source plant to destination plant.

Step2 : Execute MB1B using movement type 301 for plant to plant transfer

I also need to check why it didnt allow you to create inbound delivery against same delivery.

Hi Jinoy,

It is not possible to do Transfer posting with the mvt type 351, as it is giving message "Purchase order 4500300491 does not contain items for a stock transfer " because of "Only post goods issues for stock transport orders belonging to this order type in the Sales and Distribution system (SD). You cannot enter the goods issue in Inventory Management.

For mvt type 301 it is giving error message "Deficit of BA Unrestricted-use "

So I can't do use the movement type you have given.

As far delivery concern i can't do becuause, it is giveing error message as " outbond delivery xxxxx is already asssigned to xxxxx delivery"

With mvt type 501 is not possible. Error message is "Goods movement not possible with mvmt type 501"
