Missing hanatrial hdi-shared db data while redeploying in SCP Cloud Foundry

Reproducing steps:

  • created <my-db-name> service using "cf create-service hanatrial hdi-shared <my-db-name>"
  • added <my-db-name> into manifest.yml under services
  • compiled my Java application using "mvn clean install"
  • bound <my-db-name> and deployed my application using "cf push"
  • saved my changes in <my-db-name>

  • After my modification in Java application repeated "mvn clean install" and "cf push"
  • I run my application not able to fetch <my-db-name> details got empty

Please suggest me why "cf push" clearing <my-db-name> details while redeploying?

    Hi Dama,

what exactly do you mean by "got empty" is the service not found in the environment variables of your app?

And can you please check (via the CF CLI or the SAP Cloud Platform Cockpit) if your application is still bound to the service instance?

    • Hi Dama,

please don't mistake this is the Community (where SAP and non-SAP members help each other) with the official support. Unfortunately, I cannot "assign" a Java expert to this question.

I will close this one since the original question has been answered. Thanks for creating a separate question here
