Java 11 support with crystal reports

Does crystal report engine run with Java 11.

Seeing this error

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalAccessError: class com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.xjar.Handler tried to access private method sun.net.www.ParseUtil.<init>()V (com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.xjar.Handler is in unnamed module of loader org.apache.catalina.loader.ParallelWebappClassLoader @1b5672d0; sun.net.www.ParseUtil is in module java.base of loader 'bootstrap')

at com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.xjar.Handler.parseURL(Unknown Source)

Hi Ambar,

Java 11 is not supported with the current version (SP22) of CR for Eclipse.

Current supported platforms are:

  • JDK 1.6.2+
  • JDK 1.8.0_131+

Do you get a similar error with Java 1.8?

Hello,

any news when jdk 11 will be supported? Or are you able to say, how log jdk 8 is supported? I couldn't find informations on this in the PAM.

I saw this post today, just to update crystal report updated plugin supporting Java 11, we tested in our application.

Might this information help someone.

No - it is fine with 1.8
