Does Analysis Authorization object (0profit_ctr) restriction worked on dependent objects on BW 7.4

Hi All,

I have a requirement to restrict my user groups on profit center groups for Bex Query designer and Bex Analyzer. I have perform the following steps,

1). I goto t code RSECADMIN in BW and copied the standard analysis authorization 0BI_ALL and restricted all the copies to different profit centers (0profit_ctr) ranges and hierarchies.

2). I have 10 profit center groups so we have created 10 different roles and assign each analysis authorization we created in first step to each role.

Issue:

The problem I am facing is that those queries which are using profit centers in prompts are restricting accurately and are allowed to display only relevant data. But those queries which are not using 0profit_ctr the restriction object directly in the query or in the prompt are displaying no data.

I am giving example here: Since we have Project system in place here. Every project has a profit center assigned to it. I have two queries 1. On which I have profit center group in prompt of query. 2. On which I have Project definition in prompt.

In the first query if I have restricted user to say A and B profit center group. It is showing only those two profit center groups to user for prompt and in display only showing the dependent projects on those two profit center groups. Working fine.

In the second query where I have project definition in prompt and there is no profit center or profit center group in prompt. I am expecting that it will show the results for those projects which have been assigned to either profit center group A and B which have been restricted in role through analysis authorization. But it is showing no results for even those projects in Bex Analyzer. Not working fine.

Please explain if the method I have adopted to achieve my goal is wrong?

Is it mandatory to include analysis object in Bex Query to apply restrictions or it should restrict dependent object such as project in my case?

How can I achieve my goal?
