Hello Guys,

I have this error in sm21 tcode: [ASE Error SQL21][SAP][ASE ODBC Driver] Fatal Error 694 occurred.

The database log shows this error:

sddone: write error on virtual disk 6 block 35139656:

kernel sddone: Windows NT system error 665: Unforseen error.

server Error: 823, Severity: 24, State: 2

server I/O error detected during wait for BUF=0x0000000155128D20, MASS=0x0000000155128D20, Buf#=0, page=0x00000001B1034000, dbid=4, Mass vdevno=6, vpage=35139656, Buf lpage=4392457, Mass stat=0x6891110, Buf stat=0x1, size=16384, cid=0 ('default data cache'), Pinned xdes=0x0000000000000000, spid=0.

And Windows event view shows this warning:

{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file E:\sybase\SID\sapdata_1\SID_data_001.dat; the data has been lost. This error may be caused if the device has been removed or the media is write-protected.

Sybase release 16.0.03.05

Hi Mary,

The error 694 ay have a device problem or an operating system problem or be issue at I/O error detected during wait for buffer

Restart ASE and check log for any messages for further device issues.

Hello Sriram,

Yes, The drive E: have space 70 Gb and Log space have free space.

Have you check the over all disk space in drive E: & Log space?
