Where within the IMG, or within a direct table, is the connection made between a specific tax authority and the wage type that will be used to report withholdings? For instance, we have wage type 8j09 assigned to tax authority PA52 for Pennsylvania. I need to find the table that stores the direct link between the PA52 tax auth and the 8j09 wage type.
Thanks!
Kristy :
There's no direct link between wt and authorities; the concept is within tax model. SAP uses pclass 71 (configured in wt) along with tax model (each tax authority is mapped to a tax model) and a few other factors (e.g. 'R'esident, 'W'ork) to map to a tax combo (so when payroll's run, it knows which tax types to deduct / withhold for a given wt).
You can go to IMG, under Payroll - US - Tax - Tax data maintenance - Tax Models and look at SAP help on this for further info.
Rgds.

Check your UTX0 Schema. There might be a rule that Maps the /4xx Wage types to the 8xxx wage types. It is just customization.

Kristy, I have a tax file issue and I am in Pennsylvania. Are you in PA as well? Also, have you had the need to create a W-2 file to upload to a local tax collector's bureau website? Do you work alot with Tax Reporter?
Thanks,
