Controlling area amount changed in COEP after OB22 update

Hello Everyone

Please find OB22 setting before local currency 2 activated for company code in Canada.

Currency Type: 10

Currency: CAD

Valuation: 0

ExRate Type: M

Serc Curr : 1 ( translation taking transaction currency as a basis)

TrsDte type: 3 ( transaction date)

This is our controlling area setting in OKKP

CoCD-> Co Area : 2 ( Cross company code cost accounting)

Currency Type: 30 (Group Currency)

Currency: USD ( Diff. company code currency checked)

After depreciation run in period 10, COEP table field Val/COarea Crcy – WKGBTR is updated in controlling. The value seems Controlling area currency = object currency value* exchange rate. However, our group currency field in FI is zero because there is no parallel currency set up in OB22. Can anyone explain how system is calculating controlling area currency value even though there is zero value in group currency in FI? As I mentioned, our controlling area currency type is 30- Group currency.

We recently changed our configuration in OB22 for additional parallel currency.

Currency Type: 30

Currency: USD

Valuation: 0

ExRate Type: M

Serc Curr : 1 ( translation taking transaction currency as a basis)

TrsDte type: 3 (transaction date)

When I look at the COEP table for depreciation postings, Val/COarea Crcy – WKGBTR is updated with values posted in group currency in FI instead of obj currency value* exchange rate.

Can anyone explain why do we see change in the system behavior or are we missing anything in configuration?

    Hi

Group currency is configured at the time of client setup. It does not depend on OB22 setting. So Please refer your client configuration USD will be defined as group currency there.
