uwl - work item 0000000000000 cannot be read

Dear All

I am getting error while executing R/3 based work item in uwl that is following.

Work item 000000000000 cannot be read

The same work item can be executed easily from Inbox in R/3 system.

This issue is appearing only in QA system Development works fine.

I have drawn xml comparision already and I don't find any mismatch.

any advise.

Hi barin

There nothing on the workflow side as you said in R/3 its working fine. So problem is on portal side. So check with your EP guy wheather webfolw engine is properly configured in quality system.

Issue closed

http trace showed that the IAC launcher transaction was bringing in additional parameters which were causing damage while exectuing swnwiex

I think you might have missed, configuring the respective task in the SWFVISU transaction with the respective visualization parameters, please configure the respective workitem's task id in the SWFVISU txn with the below visualization parameters

APPLICATION            <application name>
DYNPARAM	            WI_ID= ${item.externalId}
NAMESPACE            sap

I hope the UWL is not able to get the workitem ID inorder to change the status....or execute the workitems respective backend method. for more information check this [thread|]

Hi Pavan

This is an ERP based workflow which has same xml config in two systems.

I am executing a task that is custom developed and the same is working fine without all the entries that you have mentioned in swfvisu in one system already.

I have two systems EPD and EPC in the landscape mapped to different ERP systems. The workflow works fine without any swfvisu config in EPD so this change you are asking is not relevant.

I understand the issue is in uwl and I am moving in that direction but can you advise what it could be as I have already done folllowing.

1. Bring the uwl to the same patch in both systems

2. Authorizations are ruled out

3. Any ERP based work item doesn't work however the rest works fine from uwl.

4. XML config are same in both the systems

:).... I know this is funny but then it is an issue still as with same config and patch level this scenario works in one system and doesn't work in other.
