Hi,
One of our clients are on SAP DB6 currently and are migrating to SAP HANA. I am looking for information on the best approach for conducting performance testing for this SAP HANA migration.
Could any one please provide the information in detail ? Link to any info or a document available on the web also helps. Thank you
BR, Karun.
Hi Chelikani
while preparing for our migration to HANA-DB, I captured performance information via transaction SAT in the existing test-systems for some programs doing a lot of data-selections to have a baseline. Once the test-system was on HANA-DB, I re-ran the programs with the same variants and could then compare the results. Even though this is just some spot-checking activity it can still be worthwhile to do, especially for programs already known to have (lingering) performance issues.
Cheers
Bärbel

With respect to identifying issues early, check https://blogs.sap.com/2016/04/22/abap-custom-code-adaption-for-sap-hana-the-efficient-way/
If the question is more on testing, then, well, the ultimate test is a test migration.

Hi ,
Is it the migration performance you are concerned about ? Are u using the DMO option of the SUM ?
