All,

Client has a requirement that while confirmation COR6, Sloc should be picked for all components based on header material.

User fill Sloc in GR tab of process order for Header material and this same sloc should be picked for all components while COR6.

we cannot maintain it in Mat master as any prod can be manufactured in any of our plants.

Cannot maintain in BOM for similar reason ( our storage locs are manufacturing plants.)

Hello Akash,

You can maintain the Production supply area in the Work center/Resource. So that storage location will be picked based on the supply area.

Hello Prasath,

Issue is we have work centers at plant level but client in SAP manufacturing locations are mapped as Slocs, so all manufacturing plants(Slocs) are using same work centers.

Hello

I the following thread I have explained the sequence used by the system to determine the components storage location:

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/2125033

If none of these options are suitable for you, then you need to go for a custom development using a BAdI or exit to determine the storage location.

Thanks for your revert Caetano.

We cannot fix Sloc on mat master or BOM or Work centers as they are also created at plant level and all Sloc(actual manufacturing sites) are using them.

Would you have any Badi or exit for this?

Yes, there is an user-exit to change the storage location. This question has been asked several times in this space and you can find if you simple google it.
