In our Client Landscape, we have two different Production and Quality Systems (stacks / environment).
Quality System name : QT2-002 and QT8-008.
We do import the transport requests manually in to the import queue using : STMS_IMPORT.
We have Auto Import path, but sometimes we need to import manually.
During STMS import in these environments, sometime developers are mistakenly entering wrong clients i.e., 008 as client in QT2-002 and vice versa.
In this scenario the import queue will stuck and won’t allow other transports to be imported.
Current solution is to contact Basis team to change the client from 008 to 002, this is a manual step and we need to contact Basis Team, this is increasing the resolution time.
As an alternative solution : We thought of providing an error message “Wrong client provided during “STMS_IMPORT” using User Exit or Badi or Enhancements.
Unfortunately we are not able to find any : User Exit or Badi or Enhancements to do this validation.
