Dear PP Gurus,

I am issuing material against a production order using MB1A.

For example lets say a material X is lying in Raw material storage location (RM01), Now this material needs to be tranferred to SHOP FLOOR Storage location (SF01) from where it will be consumed .i have maintained SF01 in MRP2 VIEW in the master

Could you please tell me where i have to put the receiving storage location.?

.Regards

Adhish

Dear Adish,

1.Either you mention the production storage location as SF01for this component X in the MRP2 view of the material master,so

that this component gets backflushed from this storage location or consumed from this storage location.

2.In order to build the stock from this storage location SF01,you can do material staging through MF60 or else do a transfer

posting- MB1B for 311 movement from RM01 to SF01.

3.In my understanding this recieving storage location will be generally mentioned for header level material.

Check and revert back.

Hi,

Extend material X for the storage location SF01.

you can maintain this Storage location in Bom Item details.

GR for your raw material can be done directly to SF01 storage location.

Use backflush at material master level for this material .

This is the simple method.

Hi

You can mention in BOM the production storage location field. In BOM CS02, select your component go to item details, there status/Long text tab you can maintain the production storage location. So when you create production order system will create the issue locatin as per BOM.

Hi,

Can you let us know what you mean by where you have to put receiving storage location?

To transfer stock from RM01 to SF01, use MB1B, mvt type 311 for one step transfer or 313 - 315 combination for 2 step stock transfer.
