Hi,
I have defined a new characteristic and the system generated a check Table for it when I choose the Automatic.
I have learned that a new characteristic needs a check table and text table. But I am unable to find detail on:
what is in this check table.
What is the need for check table.
In what cases we need to select automatic or manual selection of check table.
I don't have enough notes on this. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hello Mahi:
I understand that u create new characteristics and would like to maintain the new characteristic value for user selection while entry.
When we create new characteristics KEA5 , while Activataion button , system will ask that check table will be automatic or manually. Automatic means system auto running the check table number, manual means system will pop up for you to find the allocate the prefix of check table number .
Then
Please goto T.Code - KSE1 and you will see user-defined characteristics that you just created , just double click and maintain the value.
If you create characteristics with reference to other , please press button "ALL Characteristics On/off" then searching for your new characteristics.
