Hello,
I was asked what knowledge management functions are available in the portal.
Things that I already know are:
- Forums
- XML-Forms like news
- documents with subscribing and approval
What is in your opinion "knowledge management" and how to realize this in the portal?

Hi Vanessa,
regarding Knowledge Management.
If you only wanna know the features providing by Knowledge Management and not Collaboration than you have features like:
- Content Management
- Searching that means full text search via document attribute and full text search via TREX
- User Home folder
- portal favorites
- Quick Polls
- Features within Content Management are
-- editing documents
-- subscription
-- versioning
-- time based publishing
-- feedback / review / personal notes
-- approval workflow
and much more...
than you have as well collaboration and UWL which belongs as well to KMC.
The next question was:
... how to realize this in the portal
You mean how to offer this wonderful features to your portal end users?
The question is what is your requirements regarding your end users?
But it is very easy create a reprository and create a iView and assign this iView to your role.
