MMC console disappear from Windows Server

Sir,

My MMC console got disappear from Windows Server 2003 . I have installed IDES 6.0 with java on this server. But unfortunatelly my MMC console disappeared , Oracle 10.0.2.0 started automatically through Services.

firstly i want to start of my IDES server mannually.

secondly i want to configure my new MMC console.

Instance name = IDS number=00, number=01 for java.

Can somebody provide me detail solution. I will be very thankful.

Hi Ravi,

If you are not able to view MMC then do the following.

1. login to OS of SAP

2. goto start --> run and type command as MMC and press enter you will get MMC console

If you are not able view SAP service in SAP mmc , then goto kernel directory i.e exe directory and search for binary sapstartsrv and doub;le click on that and provide the neccesary details , don't forget to provide user as SIDADM.

After giving neccesary input press eneter

again close the mmc and start the MMC and check whether service appers or not.

Dear All

we have share the \usr\sap folder by name SAPLOC & SAPMNT. As a result of this my one instance has been started . now how can i start the second & last instance. In the event viewer i am getting the following error when i try to start services

SAPIDS 00

error is

when i execute the command startsap name=IDS nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=erpides on command prompt it gives the error

"Program too big to fit into the memory"

Under <SID>ADM user execute the following command in cmd.

startsap name=IDS nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>

startsap name=IDS nr=01 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>

or

Under Administrator user.

<drive>:\usr\sap\IDS>\DVEBMGS00\exe\startsap name=IDS nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>

<drive>:\usr\sap\IDS\DVEBMGS00\exe\startsap name=IDS nr=01 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>

My MMC console got disappear from Windows Server 2003 .

If SAP MMC Shortcut is disappear from Desktop, then you can find it in Start->Programs->SAP Management Console

you can find in C:\WINDOWS directory..

or you can start at Command promt..

log on to <SID>ADM user ..just put startsap...it show some details..you follow SID HOST NAME INSTANCE Name etc..
