Our business does not want to ever have WIP...We use Process Orders, however if the are still open at the end of a posting period, they want a variance calculations....Not WIP.... Any suggestions or ideas?

If you just want to process variance calculation for open order anyway, setting flag "Delivery Completed" in Goods Receipt tab in process order enales you to process that even with no GRs. I didn't understand, however, your business requirement so that it might not meet yours.

Takashi... Thank you for you reponse. If we change the status on the Process order to DLV or TECO, the scheduling requirements are removed from MRP, which causes issue as the Order is not completed.. I'd love to hear any other suggestions you might have?

As i said above, I didn't see yet what's business requirement for this from my experiences, but technically it may be possible to execution variance calculation for process order with no GRs by rule "Periodic settlement(PP2)" rathen than "Full settlement(PP1)". you can change defalt settlement rule for process ordert type by transaction OKZ3.
