Uncommon Characters on Reports

Hi everyone.

I'm upgrading my reports from Crystal 8 to Crystal X1, but I am having some problems. When I generate Reports, some string fieldsu2019 contents are exhibited normal in a database explore (String value u201CNF-00000252u201D). However, the outcome turns out different in the Crystal XI (Ê Ê Ê Ê Ê Ê ÊEÌÊ).

Can someone help me there.

Even so, thank you so much.

Forgive my english.

Kind regards.

    Hi Claudio,

CR 8 is not unicaode compliant but there were some languages we supported with non-unicode fonts.

Open you report and change your font to MS Ariel Unicode ( or any unicode compliant font ) and refresh the report.

Also, upgrade to CR XI R2 for free.... Go to this link: and download the trial version of CR XI R2 and use your XI keycode, then apply the patches which you can get to by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above, then Downloads.

Direct link to the Trial version:

Depending on the OS you are using go to Regional and Language Settings.... and change the Option to use Language Scripts, it's a 10 meg addition to the PC, and also allow all users to access Fonts. Sorry I'm using Windows 7 and the options have changed so I can't say exact steps.

    Thank you
