Hi Experts

We have DP & PPDS , in DP Planning books, users want to see the current goods intransit, plant stock & consignent stock.

To achieve this i need to activate SNP Planning area and find out the categeries and release the stocks to dp.

Please Correct e If i am Wrong.

What are the categeries for above stock.

Please let me know if any other customisation need to done.

Hi Preetam,

The stocks from R/3 can be integrated to SNP. In the similar

way, stock data can be taken to DP through BW using cubes.

From infocube, the value can be copied to a planning area and

in turn to a planning book wherein we can read the value through

a key figure.

Hence no need to release stock values from SNP to DP.

I accept ur point. But my planners want current stock in planning book.

If i go with the BW i may get 1 day earliar stock as we run jobs in the night.

So i am thinking to send it fro snp to dp, i give an ikon to the user in Planning Book , when he clicks that ikon an event will trigger and that event run the process chain.

Do you feel this can be done in DP plz suggest me

Hi Preetam,

1) For creating category, in apo customisation under the below

path,

spro > sap guide > apo > gatp > general settings > maintain

category

2) For creating category group,

spro > sap guide > apo > supply chain planning > snp > basic

settings > maintain category groups

3) Once the above are done, using transaction

/sapapo/msdp_admin, select the planning area, under key figures

tab, click on details, here the created category group needs to be

assigned

Hi Preetam,

For this, you create those categories in APO customisation and assign those

categories to form a category group.

Once the category group is created, before activating the planning area, assign

the category group into the respective key figure in transaction

/SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN. This will read the values of those categories in SNP

and DP in DP/SNP planning books

How to create the category group and how to assign below categories:

CD - Valuated, unrestricted use consignment stock

CC- Unrestricted stock at plant

CS - Stock in transit

Can you please tell me the steps.
