Time entry through CATS

Hi,

We are using CATS to post time to Work Order. The issue we are facing is of employess having diff Coct center (employee master) posting to an operation in work order having different WC alias cost center. The system issues an error, which is ideally correct.

But then how do we deal with such situations. In business there might be scenarios as stated above.So ideally only one operation is created on Order. However with one operation time charging through CATS is becoming difficult. The option we see is maintaning multiple operations for same type of work to enable different employess to charge time to Order. But this will involve a lot of manaul effort to update Order each time.

Please let me know, if anyone has dealt with such situation and what is the optimal soln.

The error I am getting is

Activity type 1088 not set up for cost center SH01

SH01 is my controlling area. 1088 is activity type defined in Work center of operation. I have defined rates in KP26 for combination of activity type and both cost ctrs (work center on order as well as emplyee cost center)

Not sure if i am missing something.

Sarang,

what is the error that's being displayed. You should be able to post time confirmations against a operation whose work center / cost center differs from the employee cost center.
