Hello All,

I am new to FPM. I have SAP standard component name, FPM_GAF_COMPONENT. It has many WD applications and within each WD appl. it has several Applic. Configurations. I am trying to run one specific appl. but, it gives pop up message box with the message "The Web Page you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you want to close this window?" If I press No, it gives message that "Application was terminated; you can close the window". If I press yes button, it closes the window. In anycase I don't get the screen that I open from SRM Portal. I might be doing technically wrong. But, as I am new to FPM and its componenet, I dont know how work this out. I also want to know what navigation link it is using when it opens the page.

Thks & Rgds,

Hemal

Hi Vikrant,

When i right click on the portal application it gives some technical details as to the component name, application used, configurator id etc. So, I go to that component and within that component I right click on the application and do the test run. I think that is what exactly you want me to ask portal team. So, even I get that application name from the portal itself, I get the error message as mentioned in my first message. Is there any other work around ?

Hi hemal,

It might possible that the screen that you can see on protal and the screen on which you have right clicked is been called from some other copmponent at the runtime. So please try doing following excericie, may be it can get you some other (main) application name.

Ask the portal team to get you the application name from the PORTAL iVIEW of your SRM application.

Goto Tcode SICF.

Against the Service Name write the application name that you have received from protal team.

Press F8 (execute).

Select your application from the tree list.

Click on Goto->Object Directory Entry

Get the package name from popup.

Goto Tcode SE80.

Open that package and find your application.

Test the application and check whether it helps you or not.

Hi Hemal,

You should first know that from which application the required SRM scrrenn will appear. This you can achieve with the

help of portal team. Ask portal team to get you the application name from the protal iView of your SRM application. After then go to FPM_GAF_COMPONENT and expand the Webdynpro Application node, right click on the application name provided by the portal team and select TEST from the context menu.
