Hi All,
We have lot of phantom materials and all of these materials are part of higher level BoM.are we going to cost phanton materials?
we have to include phantom materials in standard cost estimate?how the phantom material's cost estimate works?
any help is appreciated..
Thanks,
Anusha
HI,
1. Phantom assemblies are not produced separately but are used to maintain BOMs in Logistics.
2. Instead of the material costs for the phantom assembly, the material costs of its components appear in the cost estimate of the product.
3. A cost estimate will not be created for the phantom assembly.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Yes,You can do that.
Create new costing special procurement key in config.
SPRO>Controlling>product cost control>planning>with qty strcture>special procurement type.
make settings like this...plant 1000/SPK 99/procurement - E.
Special procurement E.plant blank and un check BOM specific boxes.
Define material master data /costing 1 view of this phantom assembly material with this new special procurement key.
and run cost estimate for higher assembly.
this will fix your requirement.
